Unlocking the return to offices with £1.5 million of contract wins

Posted in:

It’s been a busy first half to 2021 here at Blueprint, as demand from HR Directors and office owners asking for advice on workplace strategy and design has led to over £1.5 million of new contract wins.

We are currently working on a wide variety of exciting design projects. Including Yü Energy’s new offices in Leicester, the R&D division of a major pet food company, and Consultus Group, a leading energy conversion systems provider. As well as projects for a plastics distributor, an orthotics manufacturer and several office fit-outs within UK science parks.

The key concerns fuelling the demand for workplace design advice relate to how much office space will actually be required as people find the balance between working from home and being in the office. These include the decision on whether to downsize or re-purpose space, and how to create compelling reasons for employees to return to an environment in which they feel safe.

Chloe Sproston, our Creative & Commercial Director said, “The overall objective is that offices are designed according to how people will want to use them in the future. As employers and HR teams begin preparing their workplace for the return of their most valued asset – their people, they will need to take notice of these needs, or risk losing their best talent to organisations that recognise their importance.”

In other news, we also recently became accredited to help companies achieve the WELL Health-Safety Rating. The rating is a new building health and safety accreditation by the WELL Building Standard and more than 600 experts from the Task Force on COVID-19.

Rebecca Beadle, our Interior Designer who is qualified to help other businesses attain the accreditation, said, “Most of the clients we are advising through the process of achieving the WELL Health-Safety Rating are doing so to ensure their offices have a recognised safety seal in time for the anticipated return of employees and visitors to their offices. The rating demonstrates that they have met the highest health and safety standards, and therefore employees and visitors should feel confident knowing the space they are entering is managed by an organisation that believes in putting health first.”

To further help businesses assess their workspace needs, we have also recently developed our ‘people first fit-out guide’ to help employers create enticing office spaces that give their employees compelling reasons to return to a safe workplace.

If recent events have caused you to assess your office space. Or if you’d just like to explore a revamp of your office in line with the WELL Health-Safety guidelines,  get in touch for a chat about how we can help.
