We’re a corporate sponsor for Nottingham City Business Club’s highly anticipated Christmas Lunch where much-loved singer, actress and presenter Toyah Wilcox has been unveiled as a guest speaker for the event.

Nottingham City Business Club was established in 1924 and is well known for the quality of its monthly lunches – with guest speakers covering a range of business topics and subjects of local interest.

The Club’s Christmas events have become legendary for their festive feel and attracting a wide range of celebrity guest speakers. Previous years have seen Gyles Brandreth, Christopher Biggins and Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards take centre stage.

The Club celebrates its 99th Christmas lunch on Friday 9th December and they have confirmed that Toyah Willcox will be their guest speaker for the event.

An energetic, passionate, motivational and stimulating speaker, Toyah believes that re-invention is the key to career survival. She also believes that new challenges keep you young at heart. In a career spanning over 43 years, Toyah has had 15 top-40 singles, recorded 29 studio albums, appeared in over 40 stage plays and made 25 feature films.

As an actress, Toyah has also appeared in countless TV dramas as well as being a hugely successful TV and Radio presenter. Toyah and Roberts Sunday Lunch on YouTube has been a huge worldwide hit and has amassed over 110 million views.

Toyah recently received critical acclaim for her role as Alice in the movie Give Them Wings and her 1981 gold album ‘Anthem’ recently re-entered the charts after a 41-year break!

The event is being supported by headline sponsor and NCBC member Inventya, as well as other corporate sponsors, Chino Latino and Barrister Link along with annual Club sponsor Buckles Solicitors and drinks sponsor Elizabeth Michael Associates.

The Christmas lunch will be hosted at the Park Plaza Hotel on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham with registration, drinks and networking from 11:30 and lunch at 12:30 – which includes a three-course meal with coffee.
