Meet the 2019 Blueprint Interiors Scholarship Winner, Michael
Lancaster University graduate Michael Kinder is the ninth person to have been awarded the Blueprint Interiors Scholarship by our Founder and Chairman, Rob Day.
The Blueprint Interiors Scholarship of £1200 is awarded to a final year student on their graduation day, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the BSc Marketing and Design course.
Rob established the scholarship with Lancaster University in 2010, having graduated from Lancaster himself in 1985 with a BSc in Management Science-Marketing.
On being awarded the scholarship in 2019, Michael said,
“Receiving the Blueprint Interiors Scholarship is a huge honour, not just to be recognised for my achievements whilst studying at Lancaster, but also to have the opportunity to sit down with an amazingly likeminded and encouraging individual like Rob. My immediate plans are to continue to grow the marketing agency I currently sit as a director in, with the goal to one day expand our business globally, whilst continually supporting causes we care about.”
Every winner of the scholarship prize has had the opportunity to visit us at Blueprint Interiors to gain valuable experience and mentor support from Rob, this, in addition to the cash element of the award is always greatly appreciated.
Rob commented, “Design in a marketing context is embedded in Blueprint’s core interests and beliefs, so we’re delighted to support the course and the amazing efforts of the most talented and committed students. We believe that learning is a lifelong process, and collaboration between education and industry influences our partnerships on a daily basis.
Our involvement with Lancaster University through implementing the Blueprint Interiors Scholarship has led to some incredible mentoring and working relationships being forged, not only with the scholarship winners but with other businesses run by Lancaster University alumni. We look forward to continuing to support the university and its graduates long into the future!”
