25 years in business. 25 acts of good.

This year marks 25 years of Blueprint Interiors - a milestone that gives us plenty to celebrate, but also an opportunity to look ahead and think about the difference we want to make in the years to come.

So, at our 25th birthday party, we launched 25 Acts of Goodness: a year-long commitment to complete 25 positive actions for people, communities and causes that matter to us, our partners and our clients.

Some will involve fundraising. Others will see our team give their time, share their skills, support local organisations or take part in practical volunteering activities.

Together, they reflect something that has always been important to Blueprint: using what we have - our people, experience, relationships and resources - to make a meaningful difference.

Why 25 Acts of Goodness?

Blueprint wouldn’t be celebrating 25 years without the people who’ve been part of the journey. Our team, clients, partners and wider community have all played a part in helping us grow into the business we are today.

Giving back has always been important to us too. Over the years, we’ve supported charities close to our hearts, helped local organisations and made ESG activity an important part of how we do business.

So, for our 25th year, we wanted to bring those two things together and give something back to the people and communities that have supported us along the way.

We’ve already made a start, with the first acts completed and plenty more taking shape over the coming months. And we’re deliberately keeping a few spots open, because some of the best opportunities to do good might be the ones we haven’t come across yet.

Our 25 Acts of Goodness

We’ll update the list throughout the year, so you can see what we’ve completed, what we’re getting stuck into now and what’s coming next. Where there’s a bigger story to tell, you’ll be able to follow the link to read more.

Complete

Donating a cuddle cot for 4Louis

We kicked things off at our 25th birthday party, where our charity raffle raised £900. Blueprint topped that up to £1,200, allowing us to fund a cuddle cot for 4Louis, which supports families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. The cuddle cot has been donated to Grantham Hospital, where it will be available to support families going through an incredibly difficult time.

Switch Up workshops

We supported a series of workshops with SwitchUp, a Nottingham-based charity supporting young people through mentoring, movement, counselling and education. The workshops form part of its work to help young people move towards a more positive future.

Toilet twinning

We’ve twinned our office toilets with loos in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting Tearfund’s work in making sure everyone has access to sanitary conditions and clean drinking water. We’ll be putting our toilet twinning certificate up in the office as a reminder of the importance of something we often take for granted.

Ongoing

A new home for Naomi's Garden

We helped refurbish Naomi’s Garden, a charity providing Conductive Education for children and adults with movement disorders. Working alongside Influence Landscape Planning & Design, we helped create a new home for the people and families they support.

Matching our team's fundraising

We’re matching individual fundraising by Blueprint team members up to £200, helping their efforts go that little bit further. Min was the first to benefit after completing the Peak District Mighty Hike Half Marathon and raising £405 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Paying it forward

Not every act of goodness needs to be a big one. We’ll be encouraging our team to pay it forward with simple acts of generosity that make somebody else’s day brighter.

Coming soon

Food bank volunteering

Members of the Blueprint team will be giving their time to volunteer at a food bank. We’ll be getting stuck into the practical jobs that help essential supplies reach local people and families who need them.

Cooking for people experiencing homelessness

We’ll be swapping the office for the kitchen and giving our time to prepare food for people experiencing homelessness. It’s a simple, practical way for our team to support people in our wider community.

Raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

On November 12th, we’ll be hosting a padel tournament to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital to support the work it does for children, young people and their families. This event is now sold out with 32 teams taking part!

Toy collection for Epic

The Blueprint team will be coming together to collect toys for Epic. Our donations will help support the organisation and the children and families it works with

Giving blood

A small amount of time can make a big difference. Members of the team will be donating blood to help make sure it’s there for patients when they need it.

School careers session

We’re heading back to school to share what a career in workplace design can look like. Our team will talk about their experiences, answer questions and hopefully inspire a few future designers along the way.

Decorating Footprints at Christmas

Footprints is a Nottingham charity helping children with mobility and communication difficulties, and a cause we’ve supported for many years. After helping transform its new charity home, we’ll be back this Christmas to add some festive cheer with the decorations.

Taking on Pretty Muddy

Members of the team are planning to take on Pretty Muddy, or a similar challenge, to turn a fun day together into funds for a good cause.

Work experience and summer placements

We’ll be opening our doors through work experience and summer placement opportunities. It will give young people the chance to experience our industry first-hand and learn more about the different careers within it.

Supporting Freedom4Girls

We’re getting behind Freedom4Girls in its fight against period poverty, helping the charity improve access to menstrual products and education for those who need them.

What's next?

We want to leave room for good ideas and causes we haven’t come across yet. So, if you know a charity that could use our support, a community project that needs an extra pair of hands or somewhere our time, skills or resources could make a real difference, tell us about it.

Follow the journey

We’ll be updating this page as we make our way through all 25 acts, with plenty more stories from our team, the organisations we support and the people who make each one possible.

And because we haven’t decided on every act yet, there’s still time to get involved.

If there’s a cause close to your heart, a local project doing brilliant work or an opportunity where you think our time, skills or resources could make a difference, we’d love to hear about it.

25 years. 25 acts. Let’s see how much good we can do.
