What we did
Swisslog is a global leader in logistics automation. Their UK team already had a strong flexible working culture, but the Redditch office hadn’t kept pace. The space was being underused and needed a transformation to bring it back to life. Swisslog asked Blueprint to rethink the workplace around how their people really work now: more flexible, more connected and ready for future growth.
Where we started
Where we focused
The big shift was from office as default to office as destination. The space had to give people a reason to come in. It needed to be somewhere people could come for the things that are just better in person: problem-solving, learning, sharing ideas and building relationships across teams. Flexibility had to feel natural, not complicated. The space needed to support different tasks across the day without people feeling boxed into one way of working. We also focused on making the most of what was already there. Reusing and reconfiguring existing elements helped reduce waste, while still giving the space a completely new purpose and energy.
What changed
Fixed desks have made way for flexible settings that support focused work, collaboration and team workshops. A vibrant work café now sits at the heart of the hub, giving people a place to pause, talk and reconnect. New meeting and training spaces, with AV built in, mean Swisslog can host workshops, events and client sessions on site with confidence. The look and feel has shifted too. Brand-led graphics, soft tones, natural textures and planting bring warmth, identity and a stronger sense of belonging. The result is a workplace that supports hybrid working without losing the human bit.
