It’s Time to Fundraise for Rainbows Hospice
We’re always doing our best to ensure everyone can enjoy their surroundings, and that’s why our chosen charity is Rainbows – a local hospice which provides care and support to life-limited children and their families.
Last year we ventured onto water to compete in Rainbows’ Dragon boat race, but this year we’ll be sticking to dry land for the “It’s a knockout” competition, taking place on the 4th July on the 3M sports field in Loughborough between 5pm and 8pm.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with and getting to know the lovely team at Rainbows and the incredible work they do. Children with a short life to live have a lot of living to do and Rainbows makes every minute special.
All teams taking part are raising money and we’re hoping to raise at least £750. This more than covers a day’s medical supervision costs at the hospice, but we’d love to raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause.
We greatly appreciate all of your support! Last year we were able to raise an amazing £1500 – can you help us beat it this year!?

Entering a team
If you do fancy taking part, here’s some more information about the challenges we are about to face.
Like a school sports day for adults, ‘It’s a Knockout’ was a hilarious hit TV show. Rainbows have teamed up with Gable Events to bring their own take on it.
Combining a mix of costumes, inflatables and water, teams will compete for points across 12 different games. The team with the most points will be crowned the winner!
Teams of between 6-10 people can take part and will spend two and a half hours rotating through 12 different games, from a banana dash and dinghy derby, to a basketball shootout and (of course!) a costumed chicken run.
The games will test teamwork, strength, stamina and balance – oh, and your stomach muscles will get a great workout from all the laughing too!
