Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic Update

Posted in:

Further to the Government announcement at 17:00 hours on Thursday 16th April confirming an extension to the Lockdown, we write to confirm that Blueprint Interiors Limited will continue with our current working practices during this time; the Blueprint team continue to work from home and our construction sites are closed.

This extension was predicted and it is clear that the measures have already been shown to be effective in slowing the infection rate. This will have delivered a 7 week total quarantine period by Friday 8th May.

It is vital for there to be leadership and guidance in any crisis and we had also anticipated that the Government would indicate how and when an exit from Lockdown might appear, since other European countries have already started to plan and publicise their own versions.

In the absence of official clarity, we have decided that it is better to be prepared and to plan for a specific restart date of Monday 11th May 2020.

This will have taken note of the events of the coming 3 weeks and if necessary, the date and scale of the restart will be adapted. What we are certain about is that we need to gear up for resuming normal business even if some restrictions still apply.

We are therefore discussing with our own colleagues, clients and supply chain the nature of the planned re-engagement, optimistic that this is the common sense approach. The short term furlough for 5 of our 15 staff last Friday will be reviewed at the first opportunity to bring the whole resource back on stream.

Thank you for your continuing support, please rest assured we are committed to completing our work at the first opportunity.
