Raynsway is a privately owned group of property development and investment companies established in 1976. They provide accommodation for a wide variety of businesses, including THA Group, media and communication experts.

Scope:Feasibility studies for THA Group in a new Raynsway development, design consultancy role
Time scale: during 2008, design project over approximately 9 months
step 1: brief
- Raynsway wanted to create an interior layout that questioned the conventional developers building specification.
- THA needed to move from existing cramped and conventional offices to enable them to continue to deliver world class solutions. Workplace analysis allowed us to personalise the brief to THA:
- to create an open plan environment that promotes good communication and facilitates interaction between staff and clients alike
- to provide a functional space where the company's collaborative culture can be expressed.
- to design and plan a motivational and branded workplace to impress stakeholders and clients alike
step 2: design
- the result was a group of spaces that facilitated different requirements: WORK, MEET, BAR, CLOSET.
- the triumph of the process was to reinvent the core area of a traditional office building. Rather than entering a cellular space where you would usually expect to find the reception and wcs, we split the space out to create a hub of activity. This gave back net lettable space, as well as allowing cross-over and interesting touch-down and meeting places for the departments to ultilise.
- by knowing our client inside out, we were able to customise lighting and partition layouts to ensure everything would be right from day one.
step 3: implementation
- Consultation and planning during design phase of building to suggest size, shape, and usage of the space with architect and developer to ensure it met our clients needs.
- Full planning and specification of interior, including partitioning, lighting, flooring, and all furniture. CEO's presentation for communication of vision to all stakeholders, including 3D visualisation and multi media presentation.
