CLIENT PROFILE:
Leicestershire community primary school, mixed entry age 4-11 with 180 students
PROJECT PROFILE:
Location: Sileby, Leicestershire
Size:75 sq ft, staff room
Scope:Interior design, full fit out package
Time scale: Feb ’09, 1 week on site, work completed during half term

step 1: brief

  • create an organised and fresh interior for the staff room
  • consider hardwearing finishes.
  • allow for a kitchen space, touchdown area, storage and breakout seating
  • manage a fixed budget

step 2: design

  • improve quality and standard of lighting with recessed fittings rather than surface mounting
  • design new kitchen layout, and use cupboards for storewall items
  • use simple fixtures and fittings, specified in punchy colours to add interest

step 3: implementation

  • full fit out service including:
  • general contracting
  • vinyl flooring
  • data, communications and electrical alterations,
  • new lighting installation
  • general and feature decoration
  • window dressing, furniture installation
