This years Great North Run saw Blueprints very own athlete, Contracts Manager John Jardine, take to the streets of Newcastle and Gateshead.

The Great North Run featured over 54,000 runners, many of whom take part for charity. This year John ran for The Prostate Cancer Charity, who looked after his grandfather who sadly passed away earlier this year.

John completed the course in an impressive 2 hours, despite pulling a hamstring at the 8 mile mark, giving him an overall position of 12,138.

So what next? John has signed up for the Leicester half marathon on 10 October, and is considering another exciting challenge involving running, swimming and kayaking – watch this space for details……
