Swimming governing bodies have the accommodation their reputations deserve
We have been going to exciting lengths to create the perfect home for the British Swimming and the ASA, the English National Governing Body (NGB).
We were commissioned to develop the detailed interior design specification for the organizations’ new premises on Loughborough University’s SportPark development, which now houses a number of NGBs.
The £0.25 million contract involved designing a contemporary working environment for 180 staff, previously based at seven different properties in and around Loughborough. The design involved creating bespoke workstations, sourcing the latest in office furniture and creating a flexible layout over the four floors of the 20,000 sq ft premises.
The design development & specification phases started in May 2009 leading to a comprehensive Project Plan being approved in October. Orders were placed with the various manufacturers and deliveries commenced in February 2010. Installation was phased over a number of weeks in order to accommodate Main Contractor’s programme and the Clients IT resource.
Lee Garratt, Head of Business Systems & Resources at ASA added:
“Working with Blueprint has proved to be successful on a number of levels; they quickly understood our requirements to create a fresh, modern and efficient workplace – they produced imaginative ideas matched to great products and, by being keenly competitive on price, they have delivered really outstanding value.
This has been a complex and challenging project. Blueprint Interiors dealt with every aspect in a thoroughly confident and professional manner and were a particular pleasure to deal with because of their refreshing enthusiasm. We are delighted that we picked such a dedicated service-led partner to help ensure the success of the project.”
